Precious Is the Blood (Official Lyric Video)
This is an original worship song I wrote back in 2005 that we recently recorded for my upcoming CD “White”. I was able to get my good friends Tyler Geel and Amy Aldrete to make guest appearances on this song. Tyler brought the unique sound of the accordion to the song and Amy graced us with her beautiful harmonies!
Once again my good friend Nick Garrett-Powell outdid himself on recording and production as well as playing bass and shaker. This song is based mostly on 1 Peter 1:18-19:
“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.”
As well as Isaiah 1:18:
“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.”
The bridge is taken from the traditional hymn, “Nothing But The Blood”, by Robert Lowry, 1876. This is my first attempt at putting together a lyric video so I hope you’ve enjoyed it! Blessings & grace!
The photo was from a photoshoot I did with my good friend Rayleigh Leavitt and ended up being used for the cover artwork for this single.

The single is available now for download on iTunes and Amazon and will be featured on the next CD “White”. You can visit the discography page here for more information: Precious Is the Blood
Lyrics
Precious Is the Blood
In the image of a Lamb
Holy God stepped down
To become a man
But remain a spotless
Sacrifice
How precious is the blood
That washes me, that crimson flood
Now I’m as white as freshly fallen snow
I am clean and forgiven
This I know
So for the gift of the cross
I humbly bow and give you thanks
For without You I was lost
Now I am found, I am Yours
I’ll celebrate
How precious is the blood
That washes me, that crimson flood
Now I’m as white as freshly fallen snow
I am clean and forgiven
This I know
So tell me what can wash away my sin?
Oh and nothing but the blood of Jesus
And what can make me whole again?
Oh, I said, nothing but the blood of Jesus
How precious is the blood
That washes me, that crimson flood
Now I’m as white as freshly fallen snow
I am clean and forgiven
This I know
How precious is the blood
That washes me, that crimson flood
Now I’m as white as freshly fallen snow
I am clean and forgiven
This I know
Yes, I am clean and foriven
This I know
Yes, I am clean and forgiven
This I know
