New Song “Keep Me In Your Heart”
I know it’s been over 3 months since I was last able to upload a new song, so here at last is a new song! I started writing this song back in June of 2012 and just finished it this month. It pulls from several scriptures that talk about hiding God’s word in our heart and making room for Jesus in our heart. As it says in Ezekiel, God will replace our hearts of stone with a new one of flesh and put his Spirit in us, where he will come and dwell.
How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
—Psalm 119:9-11
Live video: Keep Me In Your Heart (live)
Lyrics
Keep Me In Your Heart
There is coming a day
When you won’t have me here with you
Just keep me in your heart
We’ll never be apart
For you know the place I go to
And I’ll make a space for you
Just keep me in your heart
We’ll never be apart
Keep, keep me in
Keep me in your heart
Oh, I’ll never depart
Just keep, keep me in
No, I will never leave
Just make room for me
In your heart
If you abide in me and I in you
They’ll know you by your love
Just keep me in your heart
We’ll never be apart
Not by bread alone does man live
But by every Word of God
Just keep me in your heart
We’ll never be apart
Hide my Word in your heart
To keep you from sin
Seek me with your whole heart
And your feet won’t slip
Write my Word on your heart
To keep my commands
And I will give you a new heart
Where I’ll come and live
