Official Lyric Video for "Shades of Grace" Is Up!

The official lyric video for my new Easter single "Shades of Grace" is now live! The song will drop on all streaming sites on Good Friday, April 18, 2025. So you can hear the song early by watching the video.

Thanks again to the amazing Nick Garrett-Powell for producing, recording, playing organ, bass, electric guitar and singing harmonies. We were also joined on this song by the legendary Jim Sitter on drums, and the superbly talented Alex Goldman on violin, thanks, Jim & Alex!!

I used stock video footage for the lyric video but I've had people ask where the lit up cross is located. It's on a pier on the West Coast of the Black Sea in a resort town north of Varna called Saints Constantine and Helena in Bulgaria. If you have any other questions about the video be sure to leave a comment on YouTube so I can get back to you.

"Come now, let us settle the matter," says the Lord. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool."

Isaiah 1:18 NIV

"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved."

Acts 4:12 NIV

Lyrics:

Shades of Grace

Well, I see your face
Clearly in the shades of grace
In the blood that wells up
From the crown of thorns you wore
In the debt you paid for me
The wounds you gladly bore

And the colors of your love are plain to see
In the pure white wool of the lamb
That was slain for me
And the bright red blood
That was shed to wash away
All of my sin
Now you see me covered in
Shades of grace
Shades of grace

Well, I see your name
Written in the stars, the universe proclaims
There's no other name above the name of Jesus
You're the way, the truth, the life
And you died to save us

And the colors of your love are plain to see
In the pure white wool of the lamb
That was slain for me
And the bright red blood
That was shed to wash away
All of my sin
Now you see me covered in
Shades of grace
Shades of grace

I was covered in
The black-as-soot stains of my sin
Until you shed red blood
And made me white as snow again

I was covered in
The black-as-soot stains of my sin
Until you shed red blood
And made me white as snow

And the colors of your love are plain to see
In the pure white wool of the lamb
That was slain for me
And the bright red blood
That was shed to wash away
All of my sin
Now you see me covered in

The colors of your love are plain to see
The pure white wool of the lamb
That was slain for me
And the bright red blood
That was shed to wash away
All of my sin
Now you see me covered in
Shades of grace
Shades of grace
Shades of grace
Shades of grace
